Background

Dr. Zywiec graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted and published research in lipidomics and protein biochemistry, focusing on inflammatory cascades involving phospholipase D, thermodynamics of V. cholera, and actin-plastin dynamics. He went on to accept scholarship to a dual degree Master of Science and Medical doctorate degree, neuroscience track, at St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2014, and was trained in neuroimaging and computational algorithms at The University of Southern California, with a focus in Alzheimer disease. He graduated with Distinction in Research, cum laude, with the Research Commendation Award in 2019. He then joined The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Pediatric Residency Program in New York, where he worked in clinical practice and research.
