Dr Elizabeth Evans
“It is essential for our society to uphold the fundamental principles of ethical medicine – first – Do No Harm, Informed Consent and Bodily Autonomy.”
Profession: Medical Doctor (Retired), Complementary Medicine Specialist
Position: Raised multiple concerns around COVID-19 policy including: vaccine necessity, safety, potential conflicts of interest, proposed immunity for pharmaceutical companies, use of unqualified vaccinators, and potential public coercion.
Dr Elizabeth Evans, formerly a GP registrar, retrained in the field of complementary medicine after having her children. For the last 12 years she has worked part-time in her own private practice, treating patients with an integrative medicine approach.
Early on, Dr. Evans expressed multiple concerns about the UK government’s COVID-19 vaccination plans. She questioned the severity of COVID-19 compared to past pandemics and suggested the disease might have been nearing its end, potentially making a vaccine unnecessary. She criticised the potential use of an experimental, unlicensed vaccine and highlighted potential conflicts of interest with government appointed vaccine experts. Dr. Evans also raised critical concerns about the proposed immunity from liability for pharmaceutical companies and healthcare workers, the lack of compensation for vaccine injury victims, the use of unqualified vaccinators, and potential coercion to take the vaccine.
She believes it is essential for our society to uphold the fundamental principles of ethical medicine – First Do No Harm, Informed Consent and Bodily Autonomy.
Actions & Outcomes
In October 2020, Dr Evans with a group of volunteers, created an organisation, the UK Medical Freedom Alliance, to uphold medical ethics. She has been involved in lobbying decision-makers as well as creating tools to empower the public including open letters, public information leaflets, template letters, and exemption forms.
Since May 2021, she has been a signatory on numerous letters expressing serious concerns about the administration of COVID vaccines to healthy children (e.g.. to the MHRA, the JCVI and to the Prime Minister).
Dr Evans continues to campaign tirelessly in her efforts to protect and preserve our fundamental rights to Informed Consent, Bodily Autonomy and Medical Freedom. She collaborates with many other UK and international healthcare professionals, scientists and groups in her efforts to continue to raise awareness.
Why this Lighthouse?
Dr Evans has chosen Trevose Head Lighthouse in North Cornwall as her lighthouse because it is a very special place for her and her family, who regularly visit there. Trevose Head Lighthouse has weathered the fiercest storms that regularly lash the Cornish Coast over the last 176 years, yet still stands strong and beautiful.
